csl sim insight supports a hierarchical account structure that reflects how sim estates are managed in practice this allows visibility and control to be shared appropriately across , , and accounts — without exposing information unnecessarily distributor level a distributor typically manages a large number of s and has access to the full range of platform features this includes viewing sim status managing assignments accessing reports performing sim actions creating and managing customer accounts managing sub distributor accounts (where applicable) distributor level users retain oversight of the entire estate beneath them diagram showing a hierarchical structure in the csl sim insight platform, where a parent distributor can manage multiple customers and sub distributors each customer has one or more sims assigned parent distributors can see and manage sims across their full hierarchy, while sub distributors and customers only see sims assigned to their own accounts customer level customers are usually the end users of sims sims can be assigned to individual customers within a distributor’s account customers only have visibility of sims assigned to their own account their level of access is controlled by their assigned sub distributor level where sub distributors are used, the platform maintains a clear parent–child relationship between accounts parent distributors retain full visibility and control over sims belonging to their own account, any sub distributors, and all associated customers sub distributors can only see and manage sims within their own scope why this matters this hierarchical model ensures that access remains clear predictable secure parent distributors can manage estates holistically, while customers and sub distributors are limited to the sims and functions relevant to them this structure supports secure delegation, accurate reporting, and effective sim management at scale
